than 5,600 in attendance. |

this year was how to survive and thrive in the current
economy and going green.

Going Green |
|
Many of you, like
Jamee Hunter of Baylor All Saints Medical
Center in of Ft. Worth, Texas, are passionate
about doing what you can in the effort to be
'green'. I appreciate the opportunity to talk
to you about our contribution in this effort.
Why fill
our land fills with equipment when we have so many
options for re-using it?
Those who
trade in, or sell us their surplus equipment, and
those who buy it, are doing the responsible thing.
We refurbish and sell most of the equipment
domestically. The equipment which is no longer
cutting-edge technology for the USA market, is then
sold overseas. The equipment that is good
working order, but has not sold, is usually donated
to missions programs. Last but not least, we
sort all of remaining parts and pieces of our
non-usable items, and recycle them. |

Missions
Donation:
Didage Sales
Company, Inc. has started a philanthropic division,
which accepts surplus medical equipment from
hospitals and surgery centers, and facilitates
getting them into the hands of those who work or
volunteer at non-profit agencies.
Several
organizations have donated to our philanthropy
program, rather than throwing them away. All
donated items are available for the following: medical practicum,
missions groups, emergency relief work, non-profit
clinics, shelters, and for use in underprivileged
countries.
So far, donated products
have gone to Africa, Ecuador, Nigeria, Mexico, and
Bangladesh.
Recycled
Paper
In our office, we
start by using recycled paper for our fax and copy
machines. Copy-paper that is only used on one
side, is run though on the other side, rather than
throwing the paper in the trash. This cuts our
paper usage by half!

Cardboard and Packing Materials
We save our
cardboard boxes and packing material from inbound
packages, and reuse them. |
